Most beautiful bays in Yorkshire

Today it's all about the beautiful bays. All in all I'm going to present you four bays around and in North York Moors National Park.

Heute geht's um die schönen Buchten. Alles in allem werde ich euch vier Buchten, in und um North York Moors National Park, vorstellen.

So let's do this:

Lasst uns loslegen:

First bay on this list is Robin Hood's Bay. It's just a small town with an incredible view.

Die erste Bucht heißt Robin Hood's Bay. Das ist einfach nur eine super schöne Stadt auf einem kleinem Berg mit einer unglaublich tollen Aussicht.

By the way all the bays are pretty close to each other, so you definitely can manage to visit them all within one day.

Übrigens, alle Buchten liegen ziemlich nah beieinander, das heißt, es ist super gut möglich, alle an einem Tag zu schaffen.

Second is Whitby, I know it's not a real bay but Whitby has a really beautiful harbour and up on the hill by the old abbey you can see what has been the inspiration and setting for the super successful book 'Dracula' by Bram Stoker.

Zweitens: Whitby, ich weiß, das ist jetzt nicht wirklich eine Bucht, aber Whitby hat einen schönen Hafen und wenn man den Klassiker 'Dracula' von Bram Stoker gelesen hat, will man sich garantiert nicht die Chance entgehen lassen, alle Settings sich anzusehen.

The third bay I've visited is called Sewerby Hall and Garden. At that point I've realized that I was standing at the end of a land and it was a very strange but beautiful (kind of liberating) feeling knowing that there is a huge continent beginning just 'a few miles' ahead.

Die dritte Bucht, die ich mir angeschaut habe, war Sewerby Hall and Garden. Und erst dort habe ich realisiert, dass ich am Ende eines ganzen Landes stand und dass nur ein paar Kilometer weiter ein riesengroßer Kontinent beginnt. Ich muss sagen, das war schon ein eigenartiges Gefühl, aber (ich weiß, das klingt jetzt kitschig) auch irgendwie befreiend.

Last but not least there is Cayton Bay. We spent the evening here, playing some beach games, roasting marshmallows and watching the sunset.

Zu guter Letzt habe ich meinen Abend in der Cayton Bay damit verbracht, Beach Games zu spielen, Marshmallows über dem Lagerfeuer zu rösten und den Sonnenuntergang anzuschauen.
